Porsche Powers Lean Production With SAP

SAP NEWSBYTE - March 08, 2010 - For the production of the new four-door Panamera and the Cayenne sports utility vehicle, Porsche has developed a new logistic concept at its plant in Leipzig, Germany, one of the world’s most modern factories. Via exactly planned procedures incorporating all suppliers, parts are delivered just one hour before they are further processed on the production line, virtually eliminating the need for expensive storage areas.
