Stay connected: explore our employee networks and services

We believe an inclusive environment enhances innovation, productivity, and creativity – and is vital to the success of SAP. That’s why we actively support employee networks and encourage members to organize events and activities that celebrate diversity. In addition, all of our major locations are equipped with fitness and relaxation areas, and offer a wide range of health and wellness programs to help employees manage both work and personal responsibilities.

  • Employee Networks

    Grassroots employee networks are critical components of a comprehensive diversity strategy – and a corporate best practice. SAP currently supports the following employee networks – all are active at global headquarters, and some have local chapters in other SAP locations.

    • Business Women's Network@SAP – Working towards continuous improvement of SAP's company culture and overall success through the inclusion of women at all levels of the company, this network offers a platform for women to share experiences, provide support, and advise SAP on the benefits of opportunities where women can contribute to the business.
    • Cultures@SAP – This network supports a variety of diversity and cultural events that promote understanding of the countries and cultures represented informally throughout SAP.
    • HomoSAPiens@SAP – Focused on encouraging transparency and visibility for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) colleagues at SAP, this network increases the understanding of work and life issues and supports colleagues to be more open about who they are and how awareness of LGBT issues contribute to SAP's success.

    • net45plus – This network provides information for employees moving from full-time employment to retirement and supports SAP in its efforts to create plans for personnel development, health services, training, and working environments for employees.

    In addition, corporate teams and affiliated organizations focus on aspects of diversity:

    • Severely Disabled Employees (SBV@SAP) – Adhering to legal stipulations in Germany, SAP has its own elected body of representatives in Germany that advocate on the needs and working conditions for employees with severe disabilities.
    • Family@SAP e.V – A parents' association in Germany focuses on the needs of working parents, creating a dynamic forum for colleagues to share information and experiences, provide information on childcare options, offer holiday programs, and hold lectures and seminars on child-rearing topics.
    • Family&Career@SAP – A team within the Health & Diversity department in Germany focuses on various topics related to family and career, such as childcare, parental leave, part-time work, and family-related events.

  • Family Services

    SAP strives to provide the ideal working conditions for motivating our employees with work/life balance programs, telecommuting, and home-office options. We give our employees a great deal of personal responsibility and consider trust to be extremely important. Our family services include:

    • Counseling – SAP staff offer counseling services on pregnancy and parental leave, returning to work, and balancing work and family commitments. SAP works with various agencies and counseling services to provide employees advice on topics ranging from child care to child development, schools, and caring for dependant and elderly family members.
    • Childcare – At various locations, SAP offers subsidized daycare for employees and parent/child offices with playroom for emergency childcare situations.
    • Employee assistance program – This 24/7 telephone hotline for SAP employees and dependants offers confidential advice and assistance.
    • Family-oriented seminars and workshops – Topics include managing family and career and work/life balance
