Promoting diversity through societal and government initiatives

We’re dedicated to creating diverse, inclusive, and harmonious workplaces – and not just at SAP. Working together with partners in public office and non-profit organizations, we’re conferring on public policy and taking part in government task forces to bring diversity-related issues to light. To date, we have focused on making science and engineering more attractive to young women entering university, and on encouraging women to pursue careers in information technology.

    • Membership in United Nations-UNESCO's International Taskforce on Women and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)

    Germany

    • Signee of 2010 German Corporate Governance Code (Codex) that calls for the appropriate representation of women in filling leadership positions beyond the level of supervisory and executive boards in German companies.
    • Signee of the German Corporate Diversity Charter ("Charta der Vielfalt")
    • Partner in MINT Pakt, a country-wide (Germany) program supporting girls in choosing careers in IT, math, and science
    • Member of the X-Company Network (Stuttgart, Germany), an association of professional women's organizations including KPMG, HP, Bosch, Daimler, and Commerzbank
    • Active member of the Frau und Beruf network in Rhein-Neckar Metropolitan Region
    • Project partner in the study: Frauen und Karriere, ISF Institute, Munich
    • Family@Career is a member of Erfolgsfaktor Familie. SAP has signed the declaration of intention of Erforlgsfaktor Familie.
    • Member of the Victress e.V., an association focused on gender balance, whose objective is to increase the proportion of women in management.
