SAP Ranks 84 on InformationWeek 500 in 2012
SAP NEWSBYTE - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that it ranked 84 on this year's InformationWeek 500 – a list of the top technology innovators in the U.S. The annual list was revealed during a gala event held Sept. 11, 2012, at the InformationWeek 500 Conference. SAP Co-CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe delivered the day-two morning keynote, discussing the business impact of innovation brought by in-memory and cloud computing as well as enterprise mobility. The InformationWeek 500 Conference took place Sept. 9-11, 2012, in Dana Point, Calif.
Empowered by the SAP Executive Board, the SAP Global IT organization is a strategic enabler and trusted business partner company-wide. The group provides thought leadership for IT-driven innovation, and initiated the "SAP Runs SAP" program to better drive global IT innovation projects. Core elements of the program include:
- Showcasing SAP as its first and best reference customer through compelling and game-changing work
- Collaborating on innovation and product design with SAP standard development
- Being an early technology adaptor, providing structured feedback and directly influencing product quality
