SAP ACTIVE QUALITY MANAGEMENT
PUTTING COLLABORATION INTO QUALITY
Within SAP, Quality is a wide ranging subject which encompasses how we develop our software, through to the recommendations we make to customers on how best to manage their individual implementations. Along with world leading software solutions, customers turn to SAP for advice and guidance they can trust. For our part, we believe it is our responsibility to manage our customers’ expectations so that they have a clear view of SAP’s ability to influence the success of their programme.
Within SAP quality programmes and procedures are employed across:
- Software development
- Education and Consulting Services
- SAP’s Partner Programme
- The sales process
- Management of technical and non-technical issues
SAP's Global Development Organisation employs conventional quality programmes to ensure best practice in how we manage and assure the quality of the design, development, testing and roll-out of our solutions
SAP's Education and Consulting Services adhere to strict quality standards based upon industry best practice guidelines. Corporately, SAP has adopted the internationally recognised PMBOK standard for Project Management promoted by the Project Management Institute.
SAP's Partner Programme includes certification for partner organisations and the consultants within them. The Programme enables customers to make informed decisions when selecting implementation partners and offers assistance on how to control programme delivery. SAP encourages its certified partners to work to the Principles of Quality, adhered to throughout SAP.
Within SAP, a strict quality programme is used to monitor all accounts against formal risk criteria. This programme primarily focuses on how SAP sells, ensuring all customers are given the necessary information to make informed decisions about their solution and implementation options.
